The recession has filled the American landscape with foreclosed homes. People unload their collective histories onto yards, selling objects that once held importance. Through my artwork, I express a desire for a simpler time coupled with a grim view of the current situation. Idyllic suburban homes sit alongside others that are dilapidated, and objects, separated from any prior sentimental context, are strew across lawns waiting to be rifled through by strangers.
